Thistle Johor Bahru

Thistle Hotel is no doubt a beautiful hotel. It stands majestic despite 30 years of wear and tear. They have a lovely pool area and gym facilities, and the Glass restaurant whips out a fabulous buffet breakfast for the hungry guests. The front desk ladies didn't seem friendly nor were welcoming. Possibly the language barrier. However, there was a gentleman named Sam who was very well-spoken and efficient in handling our issue with roaches in the room. The housekeeping staff were also friendly and helpful when we requested bath gels and toiletries. Overall, we did have a wonderful stay.

the view from our room, nearby restaurants, location is wow. spacious room but at 3am onwards I don't know who switching on/off the stand lamp repeatedly 3 times. that's not a big deal for me, I feel entertained.

Good room size with seaview good colour scheme.

We love that our room got upgraded and facing the sea/Singapore. The room is huge + bathtub. I think previously was a connecting room but they decided to make one room as a living room and kitchen. The swimming pool was well maintained. The area is near all good food from the mamak, kfc, Lazy Monday, goreng pisang etc
